Eligibility:

  • 10+2 or its equivalent or BPP from IGNOU.

Over the years, need for consumer education has been felt over the world. Rapid industrialisation, revolution in the Communication technology, globalization, etc. have brought about dramatic changes in our need, perceptions, behavior patterns, attitude towards rights, responsibilities and concerns as consumers. In developing countries like India, these issues have become more problematic.

The goal of consumer education is to prepare students for their role as consumers, activists in consumer protection movement and professionals in NGOs and other concerned bodies. The certificate course in Consumer Protection has been developed by School of Social Sciences and currently it is shifted to School of Law.

Objectives: The objectives of this Programme are to:

  • It aims at creating an overall awareness of and training on Consumer Affairs with special emphasis on Consumer Protection.
